Wedding Invitations: Blue, Silver, Grey, Modern

Well, folks, this is it until about June when my next suite will be finished. This couple is quite unique. They're fun and artsy, but were hosting a classy, sophisticated, modern, formal affair for their wedding. I tried to keep these invitations classic, but kept it modern with a sans serif font while adding a bit of fun with the calligraphic font. These were polished off with a sheer silver ribbon acting as a belly band. The silk blue string was tied around the ribbon and a silver wax seal was placed on top. No pictures of the packaged suite, just the custom design.

In other news, I've been in touch with some local letterpress shops and will be working on a few projects with them, including my business cards. Other projects in the works include a wedding with a flair of Art Deco, a rustic chic wedding with a palette of coral, peach, and grey taking place in Chicago, and a classic affair in black, blush, and mint.

To the drawing board!

Wedding Invitations: Blue, Copper, Gold, Vintage, Antique Map

The very first wedding invitations I designed were my very own. Mostly because I'm a DIY-er to the core, but also because we thought it would be a good place to save because of my graphic design experience. My now husband was the inspiration for the entire wedding. He loves maps. Okay, that was a really nice way to say that he's a geography and cartography nerd! So, my inspiration for the wedding was an antique map of the world. I found ways to tie in the cartography idea, and the invitations were a great place to do so.

In hindsight, I may have gone overboard with the theme, but I'll let you be the judge.

Coming next... a blue, grey, and silver wedding invitation suite!

Au revoir!

Wedding Invitations: Rustic, Romantic, Grey, Peach, Mint

These wedding invitations were designed for a couple born and raised in Wisconsin. She: in the northwoods. He: in the city. Their wedding took place in the most beautiful Catholic Church in Minocqua, Wisconsin--the Holy Family Catholic Church.

Their reception took place at the Eagle Waters Resort. The wedding was formal, yet fun and romantic with a rustic twist. The bridesmaids wore pewter, the groomsmen wore tan suits and the day was accented with peach and mint, twine, burlap, and lace.

I had the pleasure of attending this wedding and also the honor of designing the wedding invitations. Take a peek!

More invitations coming soon!

Cheers,
Adrienne
